Tour War Eagle Mill
We welcome an opportunity to share this historic and tasty experience with your group.
Explore the Mill grounds, including the beautiful War Eagle Valley and War Eagle Creek. Watch our powerful water wheel grinding corn into flour. Listen to the stories of our experienced millers describe the past and the operations of equipment. Learn about the history of Native American and Civil War events. You will begin to understand how the history of the Mill was such an important part of the community culture. Then visit our two-story gift shop filled with organic and Non-GMO whole grains, jellies, kitchenware and fine arts and crafts. Top off the tour with a home-cooked meal from our third floor Bean Palace Café. We have it all.
Special group menus are available.
Our tours are FREE and include the following:
- A historical overview of our Mill, its location, significance and its effect on the community.
- Education on the stone buhr milling process and its preservation of essential oils, vitamins and minerals.
- View the Mill’s water wheel, creek and bridge and learn about their importance to the Mill.
We also offer group lunches. Please call our Bean Palace Café for details (866-492-7324 #217). Our Mill does not have an elevator, but we can accommodate by setting up a dining area on our first floor. We ask that you call 2 weeks in advance for a specialized group tour and lunch. Our team will ask you pertinent questions so we can be ready to show your group all the Mill has to offer.
Please note that the War Eagle Bridge is limited to 3 tons and 10.6 ft for crossing.
