  • Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and lightly flour 9x5in loaf pan. In large bowl beat sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs with mixer until on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape bowl down. Beat on high for 3 minutes, scraping bowl down occasionally. In separate medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add half of the dry mixture to the wet mixture along with ¼ cup of milk. Mix thoroughly. Add the other half of the dry mixture and the rest of the milk and mix thoroughly. If using a stand mixer be sure to scrap it down. Pour into loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 20 minutes, remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Add strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries with whipped cream.
