An old-time favorite dessert on our Bean Palace Restaurant menu!
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3 cups corn syrup
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 3 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup War Eagle Mill Organic Oat Flour
- 1 cup War Eagle Mill Organic Unbleached All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cold water
Make Crust: Mix flours and salt together. Cut in butter with fork. Stir in cold water.
Form into a ball. On lightly floured surface, roll out into a 9X13 inch rectangle.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Grease a 9X13 inch baking dish.
Mix together butter, syrup, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Pour 1/3 of mixture into pan. Lay crust on top.
In remaining mixture, add in nuts. Pour mixture on top of crust.
Bake 50-60 minutes or until center is set.
